Solira is a small, heartfelt travel company born in the sacred Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan — the last living stronghold of Vajrayana Buddhism.
Our name comes from the beautiful Dzogchen term སྒྲ་འོད་ཟེར་ (sgra ö zer), flowing naturally as So-Li-Ra — Sound, Light, and Rays. In the Great Perfection teachings, these three represent the vibrant energy of awakened awareness. We created Solira so you could experience them not just as ideas, but as moments that gently touch your heart.

Founder
Kuenzang Dorji is the founder of Solira Tours and Treks, a Bhutan-based company specializing in authentic travel experiences in the Kingdom of Bhutan.
While studying Sowa Rigpa (traditional Tibetan medicine) in Nepal, he hiked extensively across the Himalayas and developed a deep passion for travel and guiding. After completing his studies, he returned home to establish Solira Tours and Treks with a vision to share Bhutan’s sacred valleys, majestic peaks, and rich cultural heritage, making it your next unforgettable destination.
With local expertise, warmth, and a commitment to responsible tourism, Kuenzang creates meaningful journeys that connect travelers with the true spirit of Bhutan.
